Brew Number 54

  • Gumpy's "Boston Cream" Ale kit
  • 1.7 kg Grumpy's Medium Bittered LME (25 IBUs)
  • Wyeast #1335 (British Ale II) (3rd generation - 17/05/07)

Was brought out to 19L. Yeast pitched at 31.1 degrees. Used fermenter #3.

Apparently the yeast has an apparent attenuation of 69% If that is so the final gravity should be...
FG = (SG - 1000) * (1 - AA/100) + 1000 
   = ((1041 - 1000) * (1 - 74/100)) + 1000
   = 1010.7

Notes
  • Boiled with finishing hops for 4 minutes.
  • Used 200mL of the 5th generation starter made on 19/05/07.
  • Used 180g of priming sugar.
