Brew Number 39

  • Grumpy's "Boston Cream" American Ale
  • Grumpy's Low Bittered Light Malt Extract (20 IBUs)
  • Wyeast #1335 (British Ale II) (2nd generation - 14/12/05)

Was brought out to 23L. Yeast pitched at 25.5 degrees. Used fermenter #2.

Apparently the yeast has an apparent attenuation of 74% If that is so the final gravity should be...
FG = (SG - 1000) * (1 - AA/100) + 1000 
   = ((1043 - 1000) * (1 - 74/100)) + 1000
   = 1011.2

Notes
  • Used 200mL of the 2nd generation starter made on 14/12/05.
  • Boiled with the finishing hops for 3 minutes.
  • Used 180g of priming sugar.
