Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Blossoms are a big deal in Japan. They come and go pretty quickly, but while they're around they're very much the center of attention. Well, I forgot to have my camera with me for any of the really good views, but here are a few from around Kuma.

Here are a couple of cherry blossom viewing (‚Í‚È‚Ý (hanami) in Japanese) haiku I wrote at Myojin Elementary School's Cherry Blossom Party:

Everyone singing
Grandma, smiling, dancing
Petals spiral down
Our Song ends, but still
Grandma dances. Yesterday's
